SECOND POSTING:
"EuroHowl Update 10/1/96"

Ululations.

Well, It seems like a lot of you missed my first post about arranging a European Howl, so I'm posting again to get a few more people to come, plus updating you on the latest information on what's happening.

Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone who's agreed to come so far. If you wished to remain nameless, tough, should have said so beforehand.

Definite:

  • Utlah
  • Megadog
  • Farthing W. Fox
  • Canis Lupus

Hopefuls:

  • Asikaa
  • Fenris

Awaiting Reply:

  • Adrastus

Wasters:

  • None! :)

These are the UK posters that I've been in touch with, or who have got in touch with me. If you wish to join in, Email me, or don't want to join in, but live in the UK, then still Email me, so you can be scorned and shown for the cad you are! Plus it will stop me into hassling you to come.

Time:

It seems that the most likely time for the Howl is to be during the Easter break, as it gives us two bank holidays to play with. It's also my birthday then, so feel free to bring pressies!!! *manic grin* That will give us plenty of time to arrange things as well. Of course, some of us might not be able to wait that long. It also depends on...

Location:

There isn't one yet, and I have no idea where to hold one. It all depends if we wish to make this a proper "Howl" or a more modest "Meet". Given some camping gear, and a few good vehicles, we could go somewhere pretty remote, such as the Yorkshire Moors or the Peak District. Of course, not many of us have camping gear, and it's bloody cold this time of year on the moors. Then we could settle for a "Meet", which would require a lot of accommodation. Aberystwyth Uni has a building that rents out accommodation, at 5 a night, plus there is a nice castle ruin to howl in, and a lovely rock garden... Ahem, I mean beach. Suggestions? It needn't even be Aberystwyth Uni, I should imagine most Uni's will rent out any spare accommodation they have. Plus transport to them will be easy. Farthing W. Fox, you're at Uni, can you check at yours and see what it is like there?

If nothing location wise turns up within the next few weeks, I'll harass the tourist board, and see what they have on offer. If you have any suggestions, then Email me.

Are you interested in coming?

Of course you are! If you are interested in coming, then Email me at:

Utlah@sw@mpf0x.dem0n.c0.uk

I need to know the following:

Where are you?

Can you drive, and/or do you own a vehicle, and can you offer rides?

Do you know of a suitable location at which to hold a Howl/Meet?

Do you have access to Camping equipment, for yourself, and others too?

If you aren't interested in coming, but do know of a good location, then please also Email me, as this is proving the hardest to do.

OK. that was the first Update. Email me with any queries you have, etc., and watch out for following updates, probably at two week intervals.
