BleuLynx's Werecard

From: spatulaloo@aol.com (Spatulaloo)

Human Name: Kitty DelTroppo
Were Name: BleuLynx
Phenotype: Lynx, specifically the Canadian variety
Shifting Ability: Dream shifter, aura shifter, spiritual shifter and probably a
few others I haven't discovered yet
Birthdate: 3/21/83
Age: 16

Sexual Orientation: Bisexual (Don't care wot's in the undies!)
Birthplace: Santa Monica, California
Religion: Quaker
Favorite Colors: Black, blue, green, white, grey, red and silver

About My Name: I consider myself a modernist, so I took Bleu from the name of a
popular mod nightclub where I live. Lynx, well..obvious reasons. So I simply
decided to put the two together.

Dream Territory: Somewhere in the Canadian wilds. I don't know if it has a
name. But usually I'm standing by a river admiring my shadow or stalking a
snowshoe rabbit.

Physical Description, human: 5'3 and a half, green eyes, blonde hair although
it's currently dyed red.

Physical Description, were: My lynx self has a rather reddish-coloured fur with
frosted tips, giving the illusion of a red and grey cat.

Human Career: Right now I'm a sophmore in high school, but my main interest is
in becoming a writer or a musician.

Human Interests: Writing, music, spending lots of time in front of the
computer, reading and taking care of my lizards.

Favorite Movies: Harold & Maude, A Hard Day's Night and E.T.

Favorite Were-Movies: I'm not really a big fan of were-movies. Perhaps
Catpeople?

Favorite TV Series: The Simpson's, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Yes, I know it
depicts werewolves and vampires incorrectly, but it's a well-written show and I
enjoy it)

Favorite Literature: Mostly George Orwell books..Frank Herbert's Dune was
absolutely brilliant and I simply adore Margaret Atwood

Favorite Were-Literature: Catswold Portal. I love it, it's my favourite popular
fantasy book.

Favorite Art: I've taken a liking to my deceased uncle's paintings. I'm
thinking he might've been a were, but I'll never know wot kind.

Favorite Were-Art: Maybe I'm shallow or something, but I don't particuarly see
the attraction in the were-art that spawns the net. Although I do have respect
for the people who put time and effort into them. I simply can't appreciate
most of them.

Favorite Quote: "To think that drugs could be a symbol of rebellion in the
1990's is just so naive and old-fashioned. In the 1990's, it was much more
subversive to go out and read a book." ~Nicky Wire "It isn't pollution that's
harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are
doing it." ~Vice President Dan Quayle "Freedom is the freedom to say that 2 +
2 = 4" ~George Orwell

Favorite Season: Winter

Favorite Holiday: I rather like Christmas

Preferred Prey: Rabbits...particuarly snowshoe rabbits.

Hunting Tips: Those people who say patience is a virtue? They're not kidding.

Favorite Non-Mythological Beast:

Feelings towards Vampires: I get along fine with true vampires. One of my best
friends is a vampire, she doesn't exactly know it yet however but I can sense
it. We usually get irritable with eachother when she tries to feed off of me,
so I guess her sort of psychic sub-conscious refrains from feeding off of me.
But the teeny-bopper goths who claim to be vampires and have nothing better to
do then to cut eachother up with razors? Those usually strike me as ridiculous.

Feelings towards Normal Humans: I don't understand humans one bit. I tolerate
them just fine. But I certainly don't like crowds of people, except at concerts
where I'm so absorbed in the band on stage that it doesn't bother me too much.
I usually come across as vague or aloof, but it's mostly because I just kind of
crawl into my shell when I'm around people I'm not comfortable with.

Personal Therianthropy:

I dream quite often of being a Lynx. Usually in my dreams I'm
stalking a snowshoe rabbit or otherwise frolicing in the snow. I've always
found cold weather to my liking and I have an extremely high tolerance
to cold. This time of year is difficult for me, it's unbearable hot! I wish I
could crawl into a patch of snow somewhere right about now...

I've known all my life that I was a werecat. Cats always came to me for help
and for scratches behind the ears. Everyone's always said that the animal I
remind them of the most is a cat. When I reached puberty, I had a problem with
the neighbourhood cats following me home. My next door neighbours always asked
me to take care of their cats, who simply adored me but snubbed everyone else.
I've also always had this sort of telepathic communication with cats. I can
sense the presence of a cat with my mind before any of my other senses can, and
I can sense when a cat is in distress. I have a cat of my own, but we have a
rather odd relationship. My cat senses my understanding, but unlike most cats,
my understanding makes her nervous. She's always drawn to me, but she's afraid
to get close to me.

Lately my aura shifting has been out of control though. Today I was at school,
washing my hands and I looked up in the mirror to make sure my eyeliner was
still in good condition, and instead of seeing my human side, I saw my lynx
side staring back at me. Has anyone had this problem before?

Well, enough of the personal essay. That's me, I guess.
