Greyhawk's WerecardFrom: GryHawk00@aol.com Human Name: Ben Were Name: Greyhawk Phenotype: Hawk and a very tiny bit cat (dunno which exactly), but I can do others if I really try. Shifting Ability: mental, dream Birthdate: 10/20/82 Age: 18 Birthplace: Natick, Massachusetts Religion: Catholic Dream Territory: A nice, tall oak on the border of some woods with a huge clearing with lots of food running around below. Physical Description, human: 5'11" tall, brown hair, hazel eyes with a little goldish-yellow. Physical Description, were: Since the closest I come to physically shifting is in my dreams, it's whatever I want. Human Career: I'm a biotechnology student. I'm fulfilling every student's dream, though, beacuse I actually get paied $10 per hour that I'm in the lab outside of class (which is really the only time I can get in). Isn't work-study wonderful? ;) I'm also an EMT and I tutor. Human Interests: Writing, reading, computers, medicine, teaching myself stuff, roll-playing games, listening to my music, talking to my friends. You know, what every 18 year old does for fun. Favorite Movies: The Matrix! That movie is pure eye candy. Favorite TV Series: "The Simpsons," Jay Lenno and David Letterman, "Politically Incorrect," "Married With Children," etc. Favorite Literature: "The Wheel of Time" series by Robert Jordan; "The Silver Wolf" and "Night of the Wolf" by Alice Borchardt (Anne Rice's sister); "Macbeth" and "Hamlet" by Shakespeare; A Parody of William Shakespeare's Macbeth by me and my friend Dave; and everything by Swifty. Favorite Were-Literature: "The Wild" and "Blood and Chocolate." Favorite Art: I like surrealism, MC Escher, Monet, and the stuff drawn by my 6 year old sister. :) Favorite Were-Art: Stuff by Foxxfire Favorite Quote: "When angry, count to four. When very angry, swear." --Mark Twain Favorite Season: Fall Favorite Holiday: Christmas Preferred Prey: Large ice cream sundaes. o.O Hunting Tips: Strike from above. Favorite Non-Were Mythological Beast: Dragons. Feelings towards Vampires: I don't know any. Feelings towards Normal Humans: I like them in general. Most are rather close minded, but we've gotta live with them, so what's the use in not liking them in general. Some are just outright jerks, though some are just jerks (and strangely enough, about half of them can be found on the Mass Pike around 8 am or planning how to route traffic around the Big Dig). Personal Therianthropy: Ack! Now here's where we get into essay questions. Frankly, my therianthropy is part of who I am. I don't think about it that often. Maybe some of you say that it should be so important that I should sit down and think about it at least once a day (someone did say that to me once, by the way). Well, unless you're a philosopher, do you sit down and contemplate why you like (or dislike) cheddar cheese every day? Of course not! Why should you? It's just a part of who you are. Instinctual. But you know what? I also don't want to think about it too much. I'm a scientist. I have been since I was a little kid. I can be sickeningly clinical about things at times. Well, a while back it was suggested to me that therianthropy could just be a self-induced dilusion. A roll-playing game gotten out of hand. So I thought about it. You know the conclusion I came up with? I don't care. If it is a dilusion, then so be it! Reality is what you make of it. If you believe that therianthropy is real, then it is. If you believe it isn't, then it isn't. I chose the former. Then again, maybe it's not a dilusion, but a very real thing. I honestly don't know which I believe, but either way, I believe that I am what I am, and I'm damned proud of it.
