Kiric HeartWolf's Werecard
Reply-To: Alsaihn@hotmail.com
Human Name: Carissa
Were Name: Kiric HeartWolf
Phenotype: Wolf/Horse/Raven More wolf than anything, though
Shifting Ability: Definitely mental shift
Birthdate: May
Birthplace: California
Home Territory: Missoula, Montana
Dream Territory: Actually pretty close to where my home is. A valley
surrounded by mountains, some snow capped. Pines everywhere, lots of running
water, lakes and the like. Snow in the winter and warm summers with NO
pollution.
Physical Description, Human: I'm about 5'4" with long brown hair,
fluffy side bangs (my friends say it's my most wolfy feature :P) not very
athletic looking, but what you see can deceive you. I have blue eyes,
the color of the sky where the first stars come out in summer( yes it's
that dark), and I can actually boast a fang! Only on one side though.
Physical Description, Were: Let's see.... I seldom shift only part-way,
so I don't have a good idea what I look like as a were. I'll try though.
I'm about the same height and build, and my for is a blend of brown and
black. My throat is only white right under my chin (I can hide it at night
by lowering my head. Helps to not be seen.) I do have one white sock,
though. It's on my right front paw and goes about halfway to my dew-pad
(for lack of a better word). You know, that little pad on the back of
the joint. My tail if a little longer than usual and goes from my normal
brown/black at the root to completely black at the tip. I have black-tipped
ears, too, and my other fang as well. That's about it.
Human Career: Student of Forestry in Missoula
Hobbies/Interests: Hiking (or running trail as my wolf side would
say), running, Marching Band, reading, lounging in the sun, sleeping in
the sun, howling (both of us^_^), bike riding long-distance mostly, but
it also is my primary means of travel. I also love exploring at night.
construction sites are fun, but I also like to hike at night. Dancing
during full moon celebrations on campus is fun and I play (or try to play)
a wood flute. That should cover just about everything, I hope.
Favourite Movie(s): A Far Off Place, Balto, Wolf, and The Crow
are a few of my favourites, but I like anything that 'turns on' my wolf
side. You know the type; gets you to growl at the bad guys more often
than not.
Favourite Literature: short lyco. stories, alter-universe stuff,
Dean Koots and some Danielle Steel, stuff that I can relate to, or books
with characters I can relate to (doesn't have to be were books. ex. Lord
of the Flies and Brave New world.
Favourite Art: my own, I would have to say. Anything that touches
something inside of me, I guess. Mostly animal art. Stuff that makes me
stop and stare at
Favourite Saying/Quote: "Even the strongest tree loses branches
in a high wind." Translation- It doesn't matter how strong you think you
are, because there will always be times when you will lose.
Favourite Song/Band(s): my favourite song is the one at the end
of Balto, but I like a lot of music. some Christian stuff, some kinds
of jazz (spirogyra and images), nature music, Celtic and Irish( dance
and otherwise) and stuff like that.
Favourite Were Movie: Wolf definitely
Favourite Were Literature: mostly the short stories I find in the
I-net, but The Vampire Diaries III has a bit of well done shifting.
Favourite Were Art: like I said earlier, my own. Most of my animal
art has been said to be "staring at me like it was thinking, or knew me,
or was trying to tell me something." I try to make the animals, wolves
especially, look as though they could understand every word you say and
know everything that goes on inside your head. I've actually scared a
few people :)
Favourite Were Saying/Quote: Sometimes the moon is howling and
the wolves are silent. (thanks to someone of heart's dream mailing list
for that one)
Favourite Were Song/Band(s): nature stuff, mostly. (wolf talking
here) I can close my eyes and be there, in the woods or by the lake, or
in my den watching a thunderstorm. I also like some jazz (see above) but
nothing with words.
Favourite Personal Quote: I don't understand them (humans), Father.
Favourite Season: Spring
Favourite Holiday: Summer Solstice. That's the only time all of
my friends (also were) and I can go camping together and live the way
our instincts dictate for a while.
Preferred Prey: I've never really hunted (still working on that
skill) but my favourite food is venison
Hunting Tips: Stay downwind!! with rabbits, it's best to try to
get close by keeping yourself in their blind spot.
Preferred Method of Attack: Like I said, I've never been in the
position to actually ATTACK, but I would think surprise would work well.
Favourite Non-Were Mythological Beastie(s): Gryphon, Chakat
Feelings Toward Vampires: My best friend and Pack Sister is a Vamp.(
and a panther, by the way.)
Feelings Toward Normal Humans: I don't understand why they are
the way they are a lot of the time, but I try. There are some good humans
and there are a lot of awful ones. I don't feel very comfortable around
then during the day, but at night it's OK. I guess that's because I feel
more at ease at night and I feel I can handle whatever happens better
at night.
Personal Therianthropy:
I guess I would say that my Therianthropy really began when I moved
out of the city during third grade. At least that was when I realised
that I belong out there, in the mountains. Before the move, I never really
had many friends, I was shunned my most of the humans I had contact with
and barely tolerated my the rest. I didn't understand why, but I also
didn't know anything different. So I never really knew what I missed.
After I moved out of the city, and into the foothills, I spent most
of my free time exploring the hills. Eventually, I felt as though I knew
the earth and the wind better than I could ever know someone else. I would
talk to them, tell them my secrets and actually hear answers. I felt accepted
by them and it was a relief to get home from school everyday and go somewhere
where I felt peace and love (instead of what I was put through at school.
so lonely.. but I'm getting off the subject).
When I entered High School, I was dreading spending four years in a
place where I might have to be alone, again. By this time I had a strong
identity, the wolf side anyway. It was so strong, I had trouble talking
to people. I met someone during 7th period that first day (actually my
very first friend) and she introduced me to Dia. The first time we met,
she held her hand out and said, "Hi, I'm a vampire". I was startled and
before I could think, I had gripped her hand and said, "Hi, I'm a werewolf"
we've been best friends ever since.
Since then, I've been exploring the wolf side of me. I learned to talk
as a wolf (using body language and sounds) and learning to howl, whine,
growl, rumble-purr (from my feline sister), and teaching it to my sisters.
We all know how each other's animal side talks and I guess I could say
I'm 6-lingual :) (English, German, wolf, panther, raven, and fox)
My therianthrope means a lot to me. It is who I am, who I was created
to be. One little piece of advice. If you ever meet someone who you would
like to go out with or even consider a mate, stick with people who can
accept who you are. If you try to hide it, it won't take long before either
they notice something weird about you, or you find you want them to know,
and they freak. (personal experience on that one)
