Personal Therianthropy:
I have always known that I was different. I really didn't know quite
what I was until about two years ago.
I have always had dreams of changing forms into one animal or another.
However, I never really connected with any particular animal. Also, I
have extremely sensitive hearing. Just get a dog whistle anywhere near
me and blow it. Can't abide the things.
About two years ago I went with my parent to Wolf Park in Indiana.
This was the first time I had actually seen real wolves face to face so
I was more than eager to go.
To make a long story short, I was overwhelmed by the wolves. Their howling
as I walked in (which they did do) was a lot like them telling me welcome.
Later on, as we were listening to a lecture on the wolves, one of them
came over and looked me straight in the eyes (this was not the alpha by
the way). We both just sat there with eyes locked for a few seconds, both
lost in each others gaze. Soon though, the wolf or I turned away, I don't
remember which. I do know that at that instant, I knew what I truely was.
